Marina Shurui (Bio)

Hhhh, I'm really happy to have made this character. And thank you for the name suggestions!

I'm still figuring out her backstory, but here's Marina Shurui (Names from thatawesomeguy14 and GrandmasterOshawott , thank you too!)

Personality: Knowledgeable, sociable, gets traumatized easily.

Here's her backstory!

Marina Shurui's Backstory:

When she was small, Marina was a pretty good child. However,
at the age of 8, her mother died from cancer, which led her
family into growing poor, her father supporting them
by doing several missions as an explorer, and her grandfather
working with delivering goods to rural areas. Marina was going
to school at the time, learning the basics of living.

At the age of ten, her grandfather was murdered by some
savage pokemon during one of his deliveries. She and her father were
both devastated. Her father spiraled into depression. First
Marina's mother, and now her grandfather; he couldn't bring
himself to explore anymore, and spent his time protecting Marina,
keeping her from going outside before and after school hours. This
also led Marina to breaking down. The people at school constantly bullied her
for her father, and so she was sent home early many times.

Despite this, at the age of 14 Marina saw that she and her father weren't going
to keep their apartment in the city without any money, and food was starting
to be scarce. And so, with the gardevoirite her mother gave her as a child, she decided
to start taking missions and explorations as much as she could,
in order to support her and her father. At first, he was against her choices,
but after seeing her starting to bring food and money in to pay for the rent, Marina's
father decided to teach everything he could to her about being and explorer and soon,
at the age of 16, she became a famous one. Both were happy, as they managed to keep
their home. Marina as a result stopped going to school, but she didn't mind. At this point
she had evolved into a gardevoir, now able to use the mega stone.

At the age of 17, she met another great explorer; a lovely midday lycanroc named Saros, whom she fell in love with immediately.
They started dating soon a month after. At this point, things were starting to look great for Marina and her family.

That is...until...when Marina was 18, her father died from a heart attack...He collapsed on the street when
they were coming home from an expedition. Almost as soon as he was rushed to the hospital, he was announced dead.

Marina couldn't believe it. After everything that happened, life just simply took someone she loved dearly away from her...again. She
was heartbroken, but still tried to keep pushing forward. Her boyfriend supported her, until yet another tragedy came.

One morning, Marina woke up to all of her money being gone, along with said boyfriend. She was indeed shocked when she
found a note from him. It said that he had deceived her, only using her love to get all of her money. Once again,
Marina was in a state of depression. Unable to pay her rent, she lost her family's home to Saros, and was forced to leave,
only able to take the items she wore, her bag, mega stone, and a picture of her entire family together. After that she was
constantly abused by gangs who jumped her, when there was no one around to see. They did terrible, inappropriate things to her, which led to Marina to train day and night, to fend them off. She also had to keep a stash of pills to prevent her body from...wearing out.

2 years later, when she was 20, Marina managed to buy another apartment in the city, but has never able to take back
her old home due to Saros' abilities. She is still traumatized by both her past and present, but continues to hope that one day...she'll get it back. Until then...she'll keep growing stronger, and wiser.
